Retired Judge Elinor R. Reiner is a mediator and arbitrator engaged in private practice in Santa Barbara. In addition, she serves as a Special Master for the Santa Barbara County Superior Court and is a panelist for the Court Administered Dispute Resolution Program (CADRe). Her exceptional performance as a volunteer for the Santa Barbara County Superior Court earned her the First Annual J. William McLafferty Pro Bono Volunteer of the Year Award in 2010.

With over 25 years of experience on the bench and the holder of a Master of Laws in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University School of Law, Judge Reiner possesses both a deep understanding of the law, and the insight to swiftly identify the true nature of a dispute. Trained and practiced in working in an objective and impartial manner, while also keenly sensitive to the interests and concerns of the parties, she is skilled in moving the mediation process forward smoothly, as evidenced by her remarkably high number of settlements.
